Cancellation and Refund Policy

Effective Date: 12 May 2026

This Cancellation and Refund Policy applies to all bookings made on hwthinking.in. By booking a session or package, you agree to this policy in addition to our Terms and Conditions. hwthinking.in is operated by Palash Khandale in association with Tranquil Light Foundation ("TLF"). Payments are processed through Razorpay and are credited to TLF.

1. Scope

1.1
hwthinking.in offers online services only — mentoring sessions, mock interviews, technical guidance, and training packages. No physical goods are sold or shipped.

2. Cancellation by the User

2.1
More than 24 hours before the scheduled session: You may cancel a single session for a full refund. Email us at tlf@tranquillight.org with your booking reference and registered email at least 24 hours before the scheduled session start time (IST).
2.2
Within 24 hours of the scheduled session: Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled start time are not eligible for a refund. The session will be treated as delivered.
2.3
No-show: If you do not join the session at the scheduled time and have not given prior notice in line with clause 2.1, the session will be treated as delivered and paid for in full. No refund and no replacement session will be provided.

3. Rescheduling by the User

3.1
You may request to reschedule a session, free of charge, if the request is received at least 24 hours before the scheduled start time, subject to availability.
3.2
Requests received within 24 hours of the scheduled start time cannot be guaranteed and may be treated as a no-show at our discretion.

4. Cancellation or Failure by Us

4.1
If we cancel a scheduled session for any reason (including mentor unavailability, illness, or emergency), you will be offered, at your choice: (a) a rescheduled session at a mutually convenient time, or (b) a full refund of the amount paid for that session.
4.2
If a session cannot be delivered due to a technical failure on our side and the session cannot be completed or made up within a reasonable time, you will be offered, at your choice, a rescheduled session or a full refund.
4.3
Technical issues on the User's side (such as poor internet, device problems, or inability to access the meeting link due to local network restrictions) are not eligible for refund.

5. Packages and Multi-Session Programmes

5.1
Multi-session packages (such as the 12-session career programme or the 8-session RTL design bootcamp) are priced as a bundle.
5.2
Once a package is purchased, individual sessions within the package are not separately refundable.
5.3
If a package is purchased and no session has been delivered, you may request a refund within 7 days of purchase. After 7 days, or after the first session has been delivered, the package fee is non-refundable, except as set out in clause 4.
5.4
Unused sessions in a package will be scheduled session by session in line with the validity period communicated at the time of booking.

6. Processing of Refunds

6.1
Approved refunds will be initiated within 7 business days of approval.
6.2
Refunds will be made to the original payment method used at the time of booking. The actual time for the funds to reflect in your account depends on your bank, card issuer, or payment method, and is typically 5 to 10 business days from the date of initiation.
6.3
Payment gateway and bank charges, if any, may be deducted from the refund amount where the gateway or bank does not return them to us.

7. Donation Receipts

7.1
Where a refund is issued, the corresponding donation receipt (if any) will be cancelled. You agree not to claim any tax benefit in respect of a refunded amount.

8. Changes to This Policy

8.1
TLF and hwthinking.in reserve the right to modify, update, or replace this Cancellation and Refund Policy at any time at our sole discretion, without prior notice.
8.2
The revised policy will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. The policy in force at the time of your booking will apply to that booking.
